Biography

Dr. Bhagaban Bhuyan is a seasoned professional with a rich background in the fields of integrated medicine and yoga therapy. With a career spanning several prestigious institutions and impactful projects, his contributions have significantly influenced the domains of healthcare, research, and holistic well-being.

His journey began as a dedicated resident medical officer at Arogyadhama (a yoga therapy hospital) in Prashanti Kuteeram, Jigini, Bangalore Rural District. During this time, from February 2002 to September 2002 and again from January 2004 to July 2005, Dr. Bhuyan embraced a full-time role, passionately contributing to the promotion of yoga-based healing.

Further elevating his career, he served as a research assistant at Cardiac Hospital Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore. From August 2005 to February 2009, Dr. Bhuyan actively participated in the research project “Yoga In Patients Who Undergo Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: A Prospective Study.” His commitment to evidence-based practises and innovative research strategies showcased his dedication to enhancing medical knowledge.

In his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Bhuyan broadened his horizons by assuming the role of a yoga therapy consultant at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, from May 2008 to January 2009. His expertise in yoga therapy became instrumental in delivering comprehensive care to patients seeking holistic healing solutions.

A prominent chapter in Dr. Bhuyan’s journey unfolded as he worked as an Assistant Professor at Dong Seoul University, Seoul, South Korea. During his tenure from March 2009 to February 2023, he made significant contributions to education, research, and knowledge dissemination.

Dr. Bhuyan’s influence extended beyond borders as he embarked on a journey to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, where he provided yoga therapy consultancy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among Tsunami victims from January 2005 to March 2005. His dedication to healing extended to diverse settings, showcasing his commitment to alleviating suffering.
